To that end, Northern Westchester Hospital’s Center for Healthy Living is offering a special session, Getting to the Root of Heart Disease, at the Center for Healthy Living on February 25 from 7 to 8:15 p.m. A dynamic panel of trusted experts will present about heart health from medical, exercise and nutritional perspectives, including the cardiac benefits of increasing the amount of plant-based food in your diet.
Heart health will be covered by Dr. James Catanese, Chief of Cardiology at Northern Westchester Hospital, who is known for his dedication to his patients and community, along with Dr. Alan Coffino, Chief of the Department of Medicine at Northern Westchester Hospital, who personally follows a plant-based diet, and recommends it to all of his patients. Anthony Trotta, Exercise Physiologist at Chappaqua Crossing will address exercise options and prescriptions, and Kelly Weichsel-Arya and Florence Hovy, founders of Plant Yourself Healthy—a comprehensive whole-food, plant-based lifestyle coaching program—will discus how changing eating habits can prevent, stop or reverse chronic disease.
